2015 IN REVIEW
2015 is coming to a close and we wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for picking up our new album, coming to see us on tour, the daily deliveries of nude fan art we receive, the countless copies of original Misfits records you’ve sent us, and all the bad iPhone photos you’ve posted of us on Instagram. It’s cliche, but we really feel fortunate to be able to do what we love and have anyone give a damn, so thanks for that.
We’ve just spent 8 of the last 12 weekends (while working our day jobs of construction, customer service, screen printing, and electrical engineering in between) on the road hustling our new album, “MUTINY AT MUSCLE BEACH”, and it’s been a hoot. No sign of letting up either, ready to rip into the new year.
In the past couple of months we released videos for the title track to the new album (see that video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RpKPBPasNw ) …
as well as a video for the album’s opening track, “(I’M) WIRED” (see that one here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3K-855SaViI )…
While we were out in Vancouver we had a chance to sit down with one of our all time favorite interviewers (and then he had a stroke the very next day! We assume NO responsibility for that, but wish our new friend a speedy recovery) and you can check that out here: (link removed)
While in Toronto Brian and Fucked Up frontman, Damian Abraham, sat down in our filthy van to discuss turning out a punk, and you can listen to that here: https://audioboom.com/boos/3955527-episode-58-brian-gorsegner-night-birds-splitting-headache-forward-to-death
Our pal Dave Brown just put out a rad new photo book called “ADULT CRASH 2″ and it comes with a 7” compilation featuring VIOLENT REACTION, GOVERNMENT WARNING, BARGE, & NIGHT BIRDS (we cover an Effigies song). You can purchase that here: http://vcrecs.bigcartel.com/product/adult-crash-2-book-7-red-vinyl-early-bird-pre-order
Lastly, If you want to buy our new record, or tee shirts, or whatever, you can do so here: http://dorkrockcorkrod.com/NB_merch.html
2016 (so far) will see a 3 week “MUTINY AT MUSCLE BEACH” European tour, a chunk of dates with one of the first punk bands I ever heard, some insane festivals, and the inaugural hot gluing of the Tesco Vee bobble-head (a gift from Nardwuar) to our van’s dashboard.
Drink more coffee, spray paint a Night Birds dagger on a cop car, and have a happy new year y’all.
